Bernadette Peters's is a gentler event, one of endearingly zany charms and touching warmth. She's the polish on Midler's brass.

Last chance to see - Bette Midler returns July 17!

Don't miss your last chance to see Bette Midler in Hello, Dolly! She returns July 17 until the show's close on August 25th!

Featuring the songs 'Put On Your Sunday Clothes' and 'It Only Takes A Moment', Hello, Dolly! is an extravagant old-school treat, following the efforts of the titular matchmaker to land a wealthy and cantankerous widow. Returning to the title role on July 17 is the iconic, award winning Bette Midler who will star for the final six weeks, taking over from fellow Broadway icon Bernadette Peters who bows out on July 15. Don't miss your chance to catch the remarkable Ms Midler in this iconic role, and your chance to say Goodbye, Dolly!

Based on Thornton Wilder's play The Matchmaker, the show debuted on Broadway in 1964, starring Carol Channing in the titular role. A storming success, it won an unprecedented 10 Tonys at that year's ceremony and was adapted for the big screen five years later, with a cast led by Barbra Streisand and a young Michael Crawford. This 2017 revival is directed by four time Tony winner Jerry Zaks (Sister Act), and won four 2017 Tony Awards, including Best Revival and Best Actress (Better Midler). The show also has three Drama Desk Awards to its name, also including Best Actress.

What is Hello, Dolly! About?

In 1880's Yonkers a rich and cantankerous widower by the name of Horace Vandergelder is on the lookout for a wife. To help him on his quest he engages the services of professional matchmaker Dolly Gallagher Levi, but little does he know that Dolly has his perfect match in mind from their very first meeting - herself! Now all she has to do is make Horace realise it as well!

Did You Know?

The musical found a whole new audience in the 00s when clips from the movie were featured in Pixar's Wall-E.
