I Married an Angel

March 20 - 24, 2019

Oklahoma! may have revolutionised the musical in 1943, but the preceding decade saw a number of show experimenting with the form. Rodgers and Hart's I Married an Angel is one such example, bringing together a comedy of manners and extended dance sequencers choreographed by the New York City Ballet great George Balanchine.

Lady in the Dark

April 25 - 26, 2019

Considered groundbreaking in its day, Lady in the Dark is an audacious musical that delves into the mind of a magazine editor she undergoes psychoanalysis. Alternating between musical dreamscapes and starkly presented scenes of neurotic breakdown, it's no wonder that Variety called it "the Sondheim musical that Sondheim never wrote".
