The Wolves

"A thrilling debut play. First-rate ensemble acting and theater that keeps you on the edge of your seat."

Why see The Wolves?
Run With the Pack
Hailed as one of the best debuts in years, Sarah DeLappe's The Wolves is an astoundingly original snapshot of female adolescence. A finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, this play centers on a women's teenage soccer team during training sessions between games, with their naturalistic cross talk encompassing everything from politics to periods. Free from any musty archetypes (no 'the funny one', 'the bitchy one' here), The Wolves shows us friendships building up and breaking down, secrets being revealed and all the girls beginning to truly find themselves.
The Play of The Moment
The Wolves enjoyed two runs at The Duke on 42nd Street Theatre last year, the second of which drew the backing of uber producer Scott Rudin. A testament to its power, future stagings are also already lined up for Chicago's Goodman Theatre, Austin's Hype Park Theatre and New York's Studio Theatre. Much of the original cast return for this engagement at the Mitzi, including Tedra Millan (Present Laughter), Sarah Mezzanotte (Six Degrees of Separation), Mia Barron and Brenna Coates.
