The politically-charged Australian rock legends, fronted by iconic singer Peter Garrett, are best known for their politically motivated songs tackling everything from their anti-war stance to indigenous rights through their music. Their unique albums and extraordinary gigs propelled them to fame in the 80's with their 1987 album 'Diesel and Dust' winning the top number one slot in the 100 Best Australian Albums. Other Top Ten single chart toppers included "Power and the Passion", "The Dead Heart" and "Beds are Burning" with this also being listed in the Top 30 best Australian songs of all time by the Australasian Performing Right Association.
