Inspired by the music of 80's legend Huey Lewis and his band Huey Lewis and the News, Heart of Rock and Roll takes us back through some of the band's biggest hits and gives them a heart-pumping new setting. Gordon Greenberg will be taking the helm as director, with Jonathan Abrams and Tyler Mitchell providing the story. Performing hits such as "The Power of Love", "Working for a Livin" and "If This Is It" will be Newsies' Corey Cott and Wicked's McKenzie Kurtz. What's it about?

Former rock singer Bobby has sold out, ditching life in music for a stable existence in corporate America. As he is just about the land the biggest deal of his career, and get the girl of his dreams, Bobby's old band suggests one last crack at the big time. Can Bobby hold onto his new life and job or will he jeopardize everything for his dream of rock and roll glory?
