Why See Outside Mullingar?
Debra Messing stars as an eccentric Irishwoman trying to make a romantic connection with her shy neighbour (Brian F. O'Byrne). Anthony and Rosemary are two 40-something neighbours living in rural Ireland and coping with familial feud over the tiny strip of land separating their two farms. Can they join forces - and what will be the nature of their relationship?
Outside Mullingar was written by the Pulitzer-price winning author of Doubt, a play which won the 2005 Tony for Best Play. A lot less intense than its forebear, Doubt, Outside Mullingar is beautifully written and irresistibly charming, with superb performances by its leading cast.
