Pinocchio at NYCB Theatre at Westbury
Written 135 years ago, the enchanting story of Pinocchio still captivates audiences all over the world. The story of the puppet who desperately wishes to be a real boy will be the third event in the theaters 2018 Childrens Summer Series.
Based on The Adventures of Pinocchio, written in 1883 by Italian writer Carlo Collodi, the story follows a puppet created by a woodcarver who comes to life. But it isn't enough, the puppet called Pinocchio hopelessly wants to be a human and sets about attempting to make this happen. The character came to life in the popular 1940 Disney film and has been adapted for the stage many times.
Pinocchio is one of most prominent figures in childrens literature, famous for his nose growing when he lies. This musical treat is great for adults and children alike, sing a long to the storys most loved songs, Give a Little Whistle and When You Wish upon a Star.
