CRASS BEYOND BELIEF

What an appalling waste of time - I wish there was a 0 star rating. I was fooled by the Titus Andronicus reference and Taylor Mac has produced works of style in his time. This piling up of the dead bodies with the endless grosseroni pee, shit, fart and penis preoccupation was mind-numbingly infantile - I could not believe this was what Broadway had to offer these days. But perhaps Producers have realized they can dish up such rubbish to the crowds of tourists, because Nathan Lane can be relied on to persuade them to laugh at anything.

HORRIBLE

We love Nathan lane but couldn’t tolerate this mess. 7th grade humor. Not funny at all. Would have left if we would have been on the aisle. Would like to have my money back. A real waste of good money. Really really really bad.

A NEW LOW

I cannot believe Nathan Lane allowed his considerable talent to be part Of this historical farce which tries to pass as a Broadway play. Believe the othe reviews. Don’t Go L CW Rhode Island

WORST SHOW EVER

Total waste of time. Play made absolutely no sense. I felt bad for the cast who tried very hard to make it work.

BRUSH UP YOUR SHAKESPEARE

It took every ounce of focus I had from the third row to try to follow the dialog. Some of what I caught was very funny but in general it was a very hard 90 minutes. The three principals worked very hard. Julie White is very funny. But writing this in Shakespearean meter and Lane’s faux British accent made this way too much work. An ill conceived project for American audiences, despite being a funny idea on paper. It just doesn’t work.

HORRID. SOPHOMORIC. NOT FUNNY

This play was an embarassment. Not funny. Downright stupid. I don't mind bad taste, but this was just bad, bad, bad. Bought tix because of Nathan Lane. Shocked that he stooped this low. No wonder they keep putting off the opening.

THIS IS NOT A REVIEW, THIS IS A WARNING

The play was long at 95 minutes. If it had an intermission the theater would have been at least half empty. It is sophomoric humor at best to be enjoyed by 14 year olds. It takes way to much time to tell us that there is a mess to clean up after the carnage. I would say the people at the bottom have shit dumped on them, but they do not really clean it up. The play needs a total rewrite. Not even Nathan Lane can save the show. Fortunately he has a reputation that will not be tarnished. Save your money and see something else.
