Natural Affection

Who knew that William Inge, the writer best known for chronicling sexual repression in dusty prairie towns had the kind of dark and bizarre sensibility that we most commonly associate with David Lynch?

Why see Natural Affection?
Natural Affection caused a stir when it premiered in the early 1960s due to its underlying sexuality and brutal backlash against feminism. This production by The Actors Company Theatre is the play's first return to Broadway since it's initial appearance in 1963.
A troubled young man, who was abandoned as a child, returns home to his mother after completing reform school, only to find her living with a lover. A dark and delicate triangle forms as they fight for forgiveness and fight to repair their broken relationship, however their efforts soon give way to violence.
