Gabriel 'Fluffy' Iglesias closes the prestigious New York Comedy Festival
Founded by entertainment mogul Jarrod Moses and comedy champion Caroline Hirsch in 2004, the New York Comedy Festival highlights the best and brightest of the comedy world, often showcasing over 200 performers in over 60 different shows, from good old fashioned stand up comedy to podcasts, panels and more! The prestigious festival closes with its final performance by multi-talented American funnyman, actor, writer and producer Gabriel 'Fluffy' Iglesias, who'll be making a stop on his One Show Fits All World Tour.
The San Diego native quit a dead end nine-to-five in the late 90s to commit to comedy full time, even though it resulted in the loss of his home and car. His gamble paid off however, because he quickly became a fixture on the California comedy scene and landed roles on prime time TV shows 'All That' and 'My Wife and Kids'. One of the most successful comedians today, Iglesias developed his self-deprecating sense humour of humour to face the obstacles of his childhood, turning his weight into his strength with the tagline 'I'm not fat, I'm fluffy...'. The inspiring comedian also skewers Mexican American culture, race relations and relatable every day situations with vivd characterisations and a razor sharp wit.
