Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' acclaimed comedic drama play first had its previews at the Hayes Theater on November 29, 2023. The opening night is set for December 18, 2023 and it has now extended its run to March 3, 2024. The two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Jacobs-Jenkins is one of the country's most talented young writers, garnering huge praise for his works "An Octoroon" and "The Comeuppance," and this work will be no exception.
The play follows a dysfunctional family picking up the pieces of their recently-passed father's estate in Arkansas. Uncovering the past brings up age-old resentment that they'll have to work through. Starring Emmy-winning actor Sarah Paulson, Elle Fanning, Corey Stoll, and many more stars, this might be the play of the season!
