Gaten Matarazzo, who currently stars as Dustin Henderson in the Netflix hit series Stranger Things, will make his return to Broadway on July 19 in the Tony-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen.
Matarazzo will step into the shoes of Jared Kleinman on the same day the company welcomes back three more actors: Noah Kieserman as Connor Murphy, Ann Sander as Cynthia Murphy and Ciara Alyse Harris as Alana Beck.
"Words could never express how truly honored I am to be part of this company" Matarazzo stated.
In 2011, Matarazzo made his Broadway debut in Priscilla Queen of the Desert and was last seen on Broadway in 2014 in the revival of Les Miserables! In 2016 he went on the star in the science-fiction-horror drama series Stranger Things as Dustin Henderson, but being a screen star didn't keep him away from the stage - in 2018 he played Jean-Michael in Pinelands Regional Thespians Cinderella, and Jack in 2019's Into the Woods at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl.
