Accio cast! New faces (and one welcome return) for Cursed Child

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child enters Year 3 on Broadway with fresh faces - and the return of original cast member Paul Thornley!

The theatrical wizardry continues on Broadway as J.K. Rowling and Jack Thorne's behemoth Potter sequel enters its third year at the Lyric Theatre, adding some fresh faces (and one very welcome return) to the lineup.

Paul Thornley, who originated the role of Ron Weasley both in London's West End and on Broadway will slip back into his Weasley jumper on March 18th, taking over from Matt Muller who departs the production on March 15th. There are also two brand new Malfoys with Brady Dalton Richards and Aaron Bartz taking on flaxen-haired father and son, Scorpius and Draco. The Potter family also gets a new son, with James Romney stepping into the shoes of Albus.

James Snyder, Diane Davis, and Jenny Jules will continue stupefying as Harry, Ginny, and Hermonie respectively.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opened on Broadway in 2017 and was nominated for six Tony Awards, including Best Play.

WHAT IS CURSED CHILD ABOUT?

The producers of The Cursed Child want every Potter fan heading into the play to be surprised by its twists and turns, so we won't reveal too much. We can say that Harry, Ron, and Hermoine are now all in their late 30s, married with kids and respectfully employed. Harry and Ginny's son Albus is just starting his first term at Hogwarts, yet his father's reputation hangs heavy around his neck, and he resents being only known as the son of The Boy Who Lived. Yet when sinister forces from Harry's past reemerge into the world, Albus must embrace the Potter legacy for the battles to come...

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is now booking until July 5, 2020
