Valentine's day is here and in celebration Moulin Rouge! The Musical has released its brand new trailer! With the brand new musical hitting Broadway in June this latest trailer shares a little more of the dazzling show...
Starring Karen Olivo and Aaron Tveit as Satine and Christian respectively, Moulin Rouge! The Musical will begin previews at the Al Hirschfeld Theater on June 28, with opening night scheduled for July 25. The cast also includes Danny Burstein as Harold Zidler, Sahr Ngaujah as Toulouse-Lautrec, Tam, Mutu as the Duke of Monroth, Ricky Rojas as Santiago and Robyn Hurder as Nini.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical is based on the hit film by Baz Luhrmann and features a book by John Logan and choreography by Sonya Tayeh. The Broadway run will be directed by Alex Timbers.
What is Moulin Rouge! The Musical about?
The year is 1900 and Christian, a young poet and talented writer has come to Paris to pursue a career and become a member of the Bohemian movement there. Christian ends up falling hopelessly in love with Satine, the star of the infamous Moulin Rouge, however, Satine has already been promised to the unscrupulous Duke. A love triangle ensues, as Christian and Satine try to stay together against all odds they are led down a dark and dangerous path but Satine is holding a terrible secret of her own...
