Theater & Dates To Be Announced

Two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Anything Goes) returns to Broadway as the eponymous heroine of Neil Simon's classic musical. Following a 'dancer for hire' in 1960's New York as she hunts for Mr. Right, Sweet Charity is a bouncy bright musical with a gritty underbelly, with Charity's naive optimism constantly pushing back against the sleaze that surrounds her. Adapted for a movie in 1969 with Shirley Maclaine, Cy Coleman and Dorothy Field's jazzy score boasts more than a few iconic show-stoppers, including 'Big Spender' and 'If My Friends Could See Me Now'.

Sweet Sutton!

Debuting off-Broadway in 2016, this is a stripped down production which draws focus to Joshua Bergasse's choreography (which tips its hat to original choreographer Bob Fosse), and of course, the dazzling central turn of Sutton Foster. Undoubtedly one of modern theatre's greatest performers, her emotionally complex performance drew heaps of praise from the critics, with the Hollywood Reporter calling her "perfection".

Charity Hope Valentine is a hopeless romantic, but unfortunately all the men who pass through her life are just plain hopeless. Employed in the tawdry world of the Fan-Dango Ballroom, where men come and pay to dance with her, Charity longs to make a better life for herself, and to finally get her hands on the one man who isn't likely to blow her off at a moment's notice. And in sweet accountant Oscar Lindquist she might have finally found him, but is the straight-laced Oscar willing to overlook her past?
