New York Premiere

The Public Theatre plays host to the much anticipated New York premiere of this Olivier award-winning theatrical delight from Connor McPherson that weaves the songs of Bob Dylan into the story of a small town in Minnesota. First seen at London's Old Vic theatre where it was instantly successful with audiences and critics alike, GFTNC is a spellbinding and exquisite way to enjoy the sonic legacy of a true folk icon.

Remember me to one who lives there

A tribute to his career and output in the most perfectly Dylan way possible, Girl From The North Country takes us on an anachronistic trip back in time to Depression-era Duluth, Minnesota where a cast of characters from the man's mind and songs are waiting to take us on an extraordinary journey into the ordinary.

Songs from every age of Dylan illustrate the story of a boarding house owner on the edge of ruin and the citizens of the town who flock to it. Some are there for the long haul, some are there fleetingly, but within each lies equal measures of tragedy, hope and humanity.
