BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS!

This was the best musical I have seen in a LONG time. I didn't know what to expect, and it actually turned out to be a complete STORY with emotion, drama, love, loss, pain and joy. The actors and singers were STELLAR. At one point everyone was crying during a pivotal scene with Little MJ, and another point -- The Thriller portion, you could hear a pin drop. What a beautiful look into the life and story of MJ. There were THREE standing ovations during my viewing of the show. THREE. At one point people just stopped sitting down. A tour de force. Definitely worth a watch and rewatch! I'm taking my family next time!!!

AN EMOTIONAL, INTIMATE PORTRAYAL OF A MUSICAL PHENOMENON

MJ the Musical far exceeded my expectations! I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially as a longtime fan of Michael Jackson. His story was told beautifully and the actors portraying Michael (child, teenage/young adult, and Dangerous era) did so with respect. You can tell they really studied Michael the performer and the man because it showed. And wow, are they talented! If you enjoy Michael’s music and you’re looking to better understand the man, this is the perfect show for you. I laughed, cried, and cheered so loudly at the end I almost lost my voice. Numerous standing ovations and people of all ages from all walks of life enjoying and celebrating Michael’s life. I cannot say enough about this ridiculously talented cast and their unforgettable tribute to one of the greatest entertainers of all time. It’s one of the best productions I’ve seen. It was more than a jukebox musical. When you see what they’ve done with his songs, you’ll appreciate them in a whole new way.

Myles Frost gives his audience an opportunity to breathe in the style, talent, artistry and personality of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. He dances, sings, moves, speaks and looks like Michael Jackson. It is a theatrical experience that brings back to life the genius singing and dancing talent of Michael Jackson. Myles Frost is Michael Jackson. I deeply felt the passion, pain, creativity of Michael Jackson. His struggle of having an abusive father and the lack of privacy and distortions of his personal life that come with fame, were evident and real. The music and dancing were PERFECTION! The energy and overwhelming involvement of the entire audience were beyond any intensity that I have ever experienced in the theater! The entire cast contributed to the masterful production performing dancing and singing support to the overall theatrical “miracle!” Run to the theater! It’s a HIT! The cast frames this work of theatrical art! Myles Frost pays homage to The King of Pop with superb singing and dancing! I felt his passion, enjoyment and the pride that he must have for working hard to do this difficult role Justice. Stop reading! RUN!!!!

The talent on that stage today- there are no words. Myles Frost was born to play this role. The younger Michael Christian Wilson simply spectacular. The talent of the entire cast was unbelievable. It was awesome. Miles Frost embodied MJ in such a way that It as though he was MJ. The younger MJs were awesome. The writers did a fantastic job showing the perfectionist, the coyness, the joking, the pain, the musical intellect, the over all intelligence, the heart. Everything about Michael Jackson the person. I could watch it 100 times. Miles Frost was MJ. The actor that portrayed the youngest Michael was amazing . The music and performances were great. It was mesmerizing. You felt like you were there during those times. Miles Frost actually embodied even at the end as they were being given a standing ovation. His dinging, dancing, mannerisms were all spot on. I could go on and on for ever. I was on the 3 rd row and even that close I felt like I was watching MJ himself. This couldn’t have been easy given MJ isn’t a small role to follow. EPIC! PLEASE SEE MJ THE MUSICAL

This show was a surprise birthday present from my darling daughter and I didn’t even know what show I was seeing til we got to the theatre. That said, MJ The Musical will go down in birthday history! Never have I seen anything so well performed, so authentic, so complex yet so simple — and so completely entertaining to my very soul! I am a true Michael fan. So of course spending two hours with Myles Frost who is the very personification of the resurrected Michael was a phenomenal experience. But to see such a full cast of very fine actors, singers, dancers was off the charts! A complex subject written with beauty and honor and performed in the same way. Shout out to Frost, who should be receiving a Tony, and also to Tavon Olds-Sample who is truly a rising star as the young MJ! This show honors Michael in an authentic way. It shows the world why he was and is the King of Pop and the favorite son of Gary. IN. And it is a 5 star entertainment experience!!! It is unforgettable and it is an American treasure.

WAS SURPRISED BEYOND BELIEF

Saw this musical in July. We brought our 12 yr old granddaughter with us. The singing, dancing and talent of all the cast was stellar. I saw MJ live in 88’ and that was a thrill. For those who have never seen him live, this musical is for sure the next best thing. I applaud everyone who made this musical possible. My granddaughter has memories she will carry for ever. As for me, well a sore throat from all the singing and hollering. Trust me, it was worth it. Bravo and well done to all involved in bringing this magic to the stage.

This musical was one of the best I have seen. The young man, Christian Wilson who played young Micheal was phenomenal. Myles Frost looked like Micheal, moved smoothly like MJ and sang elegantly like MJ. He had all the mannerisms and moves to keep Michael legacy alive. All the performers were outstanding and captivated the audiences attention from start to finish. I will definitely see the musical again soon. Probably in Chicago!!!

My husband and I watched the MJ Musical and it was outstanding. The show exceeded our expectations. It was full of emotions showing Michael Jackson’s life from a young boy. The three actors playing Michael Jackson were brilliant. Jamaal Fields-Green played MJ and he was outstanding. The show is very professional and the other cast members play huge parts and you can see how hard they work as a family and it was flawless. The audience gave standing ovations to the actors and I can honestly say I left the theatre on a high wanting to watch it again. A big thank you to all of the actors and behind the scene crew the show was absolutely mind blowing.

MJ the Musical Show on Broadway was one of the best shows we have ever seen. Just going back in time to hear all of the incredible songs by Michael Jackson was so special. The performers playing Michael Jackson at different stages of his life were all amazing and so believable. The show was heartfelt, emotional, and beautifully done. This show focused on the true heart and soul of this once-in-a-lifetime artist who literally gave his life to making the world a better place. It's a lovely tribute to MJ for all that he contributed to the world. His beautiful music focused on making the world a better place, promoting inclusivity, protecting the environment, and equality for ALL! Wow. We were just blown away in such a good way! I recommend this show to everyone.

JAMAAL FIELDS-GREEN AS MJ, AMAZING!

I’ve never been to a Broadway show and I really didn’t know what to expect but I knew I loved Michael Jackson and his music so I thought that would be the perfect first one to go to. It completely exceeded all of my expectations. The storyline, the music, the dancing. everything!!! I will 1000% be coming back to see it again. Come to find out Jamaal is typically the understudy? I would not know any differently because he portrayed Michael so perfectly and played the part! Loved seeing him! Would love to come to another show that he’s playing MJ. After finding that out I came to write a review because I couldn’t believe how amazing he was or how great the show was as a whole. Both younger Michaels were spot on too! 10/10 show. There’s not a bad seat in the theatre. At the end, it’s impossible to not want to stand up to sing and dance!

I really had no idea what to expect and when asked to go with a group of friends I almost declined. Thank goodness that I did go as I was able to see and feel the magic performed on stage. IT'S LIKE I SAW MJ AND THE JACKSON 5 LIVE IN CONCERT!!

My friend invited me to the show last minute and I went into it without knowing what to expect and all I can say is WOW! The cast was fabulous and I truly felt like I was seeing Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 live in concert! I'm 30 years old and wasn't the biggest MJ fan going into it (for no reason, just never really listened to his music a lot) and now I totally am! Everyone was so incredibly talented and the show was so lively, but also very real and honest about the struggles in his life. It was a great show and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Attending this Musical was the best decision I made. Here are a few adjectives I would use to to describe the Musical: Wonderful, Superb, Excellent, Awesome, etc., etc., etc. The Cast, Dancers, Musicians, Scenes, Backdrops were all Great!!!! During the show I was wishing I could video or take photos so that I could remember every detail, but because this was not allowed, I now have to rely on my memory and pray it doesn’t fail me 🤗. The musical is GREAT and is highly recommended.

Saw MJ in NYC-Loved it!! Saw it in Chicago twice-Loved it more!! As it comes to the end of its run here in Chicago, I'm sad to see it go-means I have to travel further or go back to NYC to see it again after it leaves. Saw Jamaal Fields-Green play MJ, and then Roman Banks. they are both fantastic!! I absolutely LOVE everything about this show. As I look at ticket availability for this coming weekend (so I can squeeze in one more show), all that's left is verified resale tickets-a little out of my price range, but it would be SO worth it!!

BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS

My husband won the tickets so we went in excited, but with no predetermined expectations. The performances were GREAT! The songs were impactful. The dancing was GREAT! The only surprise was the height of MJ. What he lacked in statue he made up in talent!!! I know it doesn’t compare to seeing him in concert, but WE LOVED IT!

THRILLER

This show stopped time for my 15 year old and I. We both love theatre, and this show so far exceeded anything we’ve seen before, we are worried we are ruined. So moving so raw so entertaining, the music, the music, the music wanted to dance and move so much. The story bouncing thru 3 periods was so well done. The costumes. The choreography, I can’t even. REVAMP

I hope that the number of Michael Jacksons in this musical will increase from three to at least four or more because there are international productions thriving so the world tour will be the first to get a revamp and each actor from every single production (New York City, London, Hamburg, U.S. National Tour etc) will portray MJ at different stages of his life! All of the Michaels will sing solos, duets, trios, quartets, and so on! Other changes include new songs, new costumes, new characters, new set, all MJs playing instruments, the middle "Michael" part will be splitting up into two separate versions (one playing Teenage Michael in the mid-late 1970s, the other one playing Young Adult Michael in the early-mid 1980s); a new group number where all of the MJs sing together in unison and harmonies outside of MITM and finale; etc! This version of the show will last at least three hours! After the global tour, all productions of MJ will get revamps, same as the world tour!

BRILLIANT SHOW

I'm not one for musicals but I would go back to see this alone. The performance off all the actors was brilliant the music and vocals faultless. The way it transitioned seamlessly from present to past memories and back to present was outstanding. If you want to see one show make it this one. MJ THE MUSICAL: A MUST SEE

In June 2022, during the week leading up to the Tony Awards, I saw a nominated Broadway show with a friend that left me feeling deeply dissatisfied. Seeking to rid myself of that bad taste, I raced to the box office the next day and bought a ticket to 'MJ The Musical' for the Saturday night before the Tonys. The MJ musical was a revelation. Its electrifying performances and dynamic energy completely erased any remnants of seeing the other play. It was so good, I've returned three more times. I've even gifted tickets to others, some of whom were initially skeptical, only to find themselves utterly blown away by the experience. 'MJ The Musical' is an unforgettable Broadway experience. For those who have seen it, you probably understand why I'm drawn back time and again. And if you haven't, I highly recommend you grab a ticket to see this incredible production.

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!

I thought it was going to be good. The band is good bust the singers have no energy. The timing and some notes were off. The talk scenes are long and boring. Dancing is good. Main Michael was the worse singer of everyone. No one put any energy into the performance. I would suggest the show close, the cast rehearse another month or so, then reopen. Maybe recast some of it.

REALLY

The show was terrible. Any reviewer that was positive was either paid off or stoned. The music was lousy, off key and an embarrassment to MJ’s memory. The audience was immature and one woman who had to be “off” sang and spoke the entire first half, we moved at intermission. The theater is an experience which should be respected, it isn’t a cover band scene, you folks how want that should go to Atlantic City Casinos. Please close this show it is a total sham calling it a Broadway Theater Show.
