Wonderful actors, wonderful play
This is a sweet, small story of two people connecting. One is shy, finds real connection difficult. The other is just bursting with possibilities and is given a chance to blossom. The story is well staged. But really, this play is about the two actors. Megan McGinnis is just a theatrical treasure, and the small, comfortable Davenport Theater is the perfect place to hear her clear, strong voice and see her subtle expressions. While i'm sure the production would prefer to be in a bit bigger venue, go see it now and get up close to this captivating actress. Paul Nolan has the challenging role of being the "older man", frustrated in his interest and evolving passion for the woman he knows mainly through letters. His voice is excellent, and the evolution of his character is quite believable. This is the perfect play for girls on the cusp of womanhood, and for anyone who has a soft spot for two worthy people connecting in an unlikely way. I highly recommend this play.
