Christmas In Hell Was A Joy To Watch

5/5
Gail Gardner from Long Island New York
18th December 2018

I loved Christmas In Hell. The songs and the music were clever, funny, and delightful and I didn't even need to watch a plot of what the play was about because I enjoyed the songs so much. There were two actors in particular that I must say, when it was their turns to sing their songs, they took over the whole show and I would have loved to hear/see more from both of them. One was Lori Hammel who played Galiana and when she sang the song, "THERE IS NOTHING MORE THAT I CAN SAY", I felt goose bumps running up and down my arms and spine - she just was that great and then there was Lucifer, played by an up and coming star named Brandon Williams and when he sang, "MINE!", he just took over the show, the stage was all his and he let you know it! I had so much fun, it is not for children because of the "F" word but it is for people over the age of 18 and grown-ups who just want to go see a play that is fun and puts you in a happy, laughing mood. Go See This one!

This show is different its a funny , entertaining musical. Funny relevant jokes. Great father son tale. We took out tweens and had a nice fun time. Lots of laughs. Cursing but no violence or sexual innuendos. Worth a viewing.

Show was interesting and fun. The script and art director creation went very smooth and flow so quick to the very end. I was very impressed by actors play, how they lived the situations on the stage, how they moved and performed the musical part. I,m pleased by a little 10 years boy performance the only one between adults. This boy is a natural actor, because he is performing like he is breathing. He can sing, he can move in a very smooth way,he can easy make transitions from one part to the next. This boy has a future and a fresh and great addition to the play. Thank you all.

Not the Usual Holiday Fare

For those who want their Christmas festivities gently mocked: A fun little show with relentless, sophomoric humor — but hey, I’ve heard some sophomores be pretty funny — delivered with professional flair. Take your mom, if she’s cool with bad language. DON’T take the kids, even if they’re cool with bad language — the complicated plot will probably bewilder them. Everyone will be pleased with the show’s deft professional cast, each of whom knows how to sell a song, and how. The York has a great location in midtown East, with plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby.
