GREAT NIGHT OUT IN NYC!

Wonderful dinner at Bar Boulud across the street. Fantastic theater at Lincoln Canter, maybe the best in NYC. Mezzanine seats were very good. A long first act, but true to the original until the surprise second act ending that brought down the house! Very well acted. Well sung. Exuberant production. Songs and score are still etched in my mind. Decidedly better than the movie, which now seems tired by comparison. Highly recommended.

MY FAIR LADY

Loverly, beautiful voices, casting, sets, costumes, old world with new light on youthful performances of Eliza and Henry Higgins... thoroughly enjoyed it... the score is a treasure! Lincoln Center is all about being at the theatre in NYC, the ultimate! Bring family that appreciate the old classics and the lyrics and score that you find yourself singing and clapping along with.” I’m getting married in the mornin’!” Make a day of it, dinner , theatre, it is a treat!

LOVED IT!

Went to a Saturday matinee last week. The first 15 minutes weren’t good. Almost like a high school production. I was worried... but after that all went extremely well. What did I love? The casting, costumes, sets and the always trasportingly beautiful music performed exquisitely by the orchestra. Left in a fabulous mood. A bit long but absolutely worth it.
