When cult hit HBO staple Sex and the City strapped on its manolo stilettos for the last time in 2004, legions of inconsolable fans had to fill the Carry-Samantha-Charlotte-and-Miranda-sized hole in their lives with copious reruns and two feature films, which hardly seems enough considering the show's enduring legacy. If you simply can't lay the glorious adventures of the original gal pals to rest, then Canadian playwright/director TJ Dawe and tour de force performer Kerry Ipema have just the solution - a loving one woman recreation of all six seasons of the show in one special laughter and cosmopolitan-filled evening!
Having wowed audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe, the stylish production will revive all of the show's greatest and most memorable moments in its home city, from the post-it note episode to the independent Samantha's liberating wig moment to the non-stop will-they-or-won't-they drama between Carrie and Big, with all characters portrayed by one unstoppable woman. Replete with audience participation and noughties fashion flashbacks aplenty, this laugh-a-minute tribute is the perfect night out in the city that never sleeps... alone.
