If you’ve seen the trailer you have seen more content than is in the actual show. Yes, colours are dazzling and the first two or three scenes capture your attention. Are there pretty moments, yes. Are there athletic moments, yes. However, the dancing is extremely basic covered by flowing fabric. There is intense political messaging and even a torture scene that would be troubling for many. The biggest problem is it’s just not worth the money. The video screen behind the acts suffers from terribly antiquated graphics and odd political messaging. And the between scenes commentary is highly contrived and needs work. We love performance arts and regretted going. More than 10 people around us simply left. Staying to the grand finale? Don’t. The last scene is the worst of the bunch.

With the cheapest tickets being around $100pp, there's no reason for anyone to go see this performance. The message they seem to get a cross is the Falun Gong is the way, for everyone. Although, not for people who drink, to those who have premarital sex (especially with the same sex!) or to those who have "modern thought and acts". All in all, I felt like I was witnessing a religious cult selling it self as the true way because it is based on ancient teachings. They did try modernizing of the message in one act, which felt mormon-like with their crisp uniforms and praising of the gold covered book.

I thought I was being super disrespectful when I laughed inside thinking maybe it’s just me, however by intermission half of my section was gone and a few more didn’t come back after. They advertised beautifully choreographed artful dances, and what we got was a joke. There was maybe 2 dances close to worthy but the rest was a JOKE. Wished I would have looked up reviews before purchasing.

Nothing but repetition of slow moving performances. The clothes change but that's all that does. I actually nodded off 3 times before intermission which is when I left. I would have been much better entertained at home watching something like America's got talent. 10 to 15 people on a stage spinning around while a couple people do some flips was not anywhere near worth the $150.00 it cost.

1.0 star rating Annie from Seattle, Washington

Complete scam. I bought into the advertising and greatly regret it. After about 15 min into the show, I realized what a mistake this was. And by the end, I realized that the show is cheap propaganda. Seattle theater shouldn’t allow this company to continue scamming people. It is not at all what the advertisement promised, it was not traditionally Chinese at all. I hope whoever is thinking about spending so much money on this show reads these reviews first. I wish I did.

1.0 star rating Catherine from Spokane, WA

Not anything close to traditional Chinese performing arts. It was cheap performance filled with religious and political propaganda. Total false advertising. They claim you can't see performance like this in China because the art is lost there. But it's actually because the organization needs our freedom of speech and religion to spread their anti-communism agenda. With allall respect to their beliefs, I still don't appreciate a 2 hour presentation of it advertised as art.

1.0 star rating Ronit Levy from Toronto, Ontario

We were so excited and spent a ton of money on this. What a disgrace. The dancers were no better than grade school children putting on a show for their parents. Boring, absolutely painful to watch. What an embarrassment. How can they allow a show like this to be in Toronto and charge people such an amount for this absolute garbage. Do yourself a favor DO NOT fall for the commercials about this show, what you see when you get there is nothing even close to what they advertise
