JACKSON BROWNE MY ALL TIME FAVORITE!

Jackson was fantastic as usual and his new stuff is great. James Taylor was fabulous, the musicians over the top. My wife and I are older now, but we both agreed it was the best concert we’ve been to.

MAGICAL

Undeniably up there are two of the best musicians in the world. Spot on sound and vocals, get with it previous reviews people, oh sorry I shouldn't say that. Seriously , I'm 61 and guess from the old school. Seen Dylan 9 times, ya all probably shouldn't go see him, but Dylan could just stand there for a hour and do nothing and I would be smiling...by the way I wasn't even there, but my best friends were and they dug it. XOXO

GREAT SHOW

A great concert. Both J T and Jackson Browne delivered great performances with good vocals and great musicians although I miss David Lindsay backing up Browne. I read some other reviews about song selection but I thought the set lists were great. I did think a few times when the band volume went up, the vocal volume was a little overpowered but not a big issue. After such a long time without live music is was a real joy to hear these icons put on a great show.

JAMES TAYLOR / JACKSON BROWN CHARLESTON WV

Such a Fantastic concert from a great pair. It was very nice to hear Jackson Brown perform songs from his new album. James Taylor continues to perform flawlessly and has the voice of an angel. His performance of Steam Roller was incendiary.

ROCKIN’ !!!

Both delivered BIG TIME!!! The long lines out were a cluster f***, but an excellent evening 😉❤️.... and EVERYONE know he’s gonna do Steamroller, so sorry old ladies, cover your ears..,.. kinda surprising they don’t have the energy they did when they were 25 !! HA!!!

FANTASTIC SHOW!

Both Jackson Browne and James Taylor have great voices and each, in their own ways, still seem excited by writing new material and sharing it with the world. The musicians and vocals were stellar - what a quality show in every way. The lighting and images were fun as were the big tv screen so that we could see the singers up close. The music each performer chose was meaningful and a good mix of the old and new. The audience was great and gave the musicians 2 ovations....the ending piece being You've Got a Friend with both Browne and Taylor was nostalgic and sweet. What a great show and I wish I could go again. Don't miss this show if you appreciate great music from 2 wonderful artists.

LOVED IT!

Not a big follower of Jackson Browne, but he was great! I enjoyed his show. James Taylor Is my favorite all time artist. Heard Fire and Rain for the first time in the school cafeteria when I was 15, about 1970. I’ve loved him ever since! This was one of his better concerts of the many I have enjoyed. I hope to see him again some day!

FORTUNATE

So grateful to be alive during Jame’s and Jackson’s lifetime. Their performances, complimented by their talented back up vocalists and musicians, once again, nourished my soul!

JACKSON/JT DELIVER

These are two of the great voices/songwriters of our generation .. on stage together..WOW! A privilege for sure. Jackson ..such a lyricist ..speaks eloquently through his music to us.. about love, peace, our fragile environment .JT converses in his folksy, endearing way between songs.. both audience and performers were responding to what each had missed over this past pandemic year .. it was joy

TWO OF THE GREATS IN ONE SHOW!

Jackson Browne still has a strong voice that carries his famous tunes from the 70's into his 70's. He was entertaining, sincere and seemingly humble for someone with his great success. Being a life-long JT fan, no matter the performance or the chosen tunes, I am always delighted to see and hear him play. His dry wit is amusing as well. Understandably, some of the lesser fans expected to hear more of his hits, but for the always-going crowd, it's nice to hear him mix it up. For me, bringing back the memories of when both Jackson and James' old hits were popular, really makes it all worthwhile. As all of us age together, recalling those years from their live performances today makes me smile. I'm just thankful that they are both still around and have it in them to continue to share with us. Thank you Jackson! Thank you James!

JT & JACKSON BROWNE - BRING MEMORIES BACK TO FT WORTH

My wife and I were at the JT and Jackson Browne rescheduled, rescheduled event in Ft. Worth last night. It was an amazing experience. Dickies Arena is just the right size for a concert like this. Both artist, their bands and accompanying vocalist where on top form. We had an excellent time.

SUPERB, BUT HATERS GOTTA HATE

I think some people would go see James Taylor play at their intimate corner coffee shop and then complain that the coffee is bad. Look folks, don’t go to see 70-something rock/folk/blues artists and then complain that they don’t have the energy you want or the voice you expect. Even Tom Brady won’t be a peak performer at that age. This was one of the best concerts I’ve been to, period. The music was great, even the lesser known songs, the two performers were granted roughly equal (deserved) billing and the staging was incredible.

CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE PANDEMIC SOUL

J&J. Jackson's Doctor My Eyes was energetic and fixed the audience's broken places. Every song he touched made me realize everything and nothing has changed. Jackson and his band are professional shamans. Jackson's vocals, guitar and piano playing are true medicinal gifts. James Taylor brought his talents and gentle, sometimes bluesy heart (think Steamroller) and the audience raised the roof in whistles and stomping and every appreciative gesture in between. His band's vocals and instrumentals (notably saxophone) were spot on and downright inspirational in that folksy, bluesy, jazzy way we came to hear. And James, at 73 years old sounds as sweet as he did as a young man of his first album named for his sweetness, but the wisdom of the years is in his voice as well. This concert of 2021 won't return for those of you who missed it. Fire and Rain reminded us of those we won't ever see again. If you missed James last night, be sure not to next time. A legend at at his mature power, he sings us back to ourselves

TALENT AND SOUND, THESE TWO DELIVERED BOTH!

I’ve been to 6 JT concerts over time. He is and always will be my favorite musician. At age 73, James Taylor still makes my heart flutter and I’m 59…This concert packed a double punch of classic tunes and even a couple of new songs by Jackson Brown which were worthy of their debut at this event. The concert playlist included many of the classic older songs by both Taylor and Brown. Enjoyed every minute of this all star group of musicians and back up singers who delivered fresh and added talent to the whole show. Stand out solo guitarist player was beyond amazing! The added spoken banter between songs was heartfelt and authentic. Both artists seemed honestly happy to be performing again and their enthusiasm for giving their best was obvious. This concert was one of my favorites of all time. James, still has the “It Factor”! He is an amazing musician and if you’re a JT fan, you will definitely enjoy this concert!

JAMES TAYLOR AND JACKSON BROWNE

Loved, loved loved it! Couldn’t have been better in my estimation. Amazing vocalists and musicians, beautifully staged. So glad we travelled tp Greenville for this wonderful concert.

VERY NICE

Concert was amazing from beginning to end. Jackson Brown was very entertaining, and just amazing to hear. His voice still as strong as ever, and really interacted with the audience. Mason Stoops provided amazing guitar. Such talented musicians. James Taylor and his All Star Band, and vocalists, were GREAT. These artists really added the perfect accompaniment to JT's still strong voice. JB and JT both played for a very long time, and it was totally enjoyable. The set for JT's portion was really eye catching. A huge tree, with leaves that fell off and on. The screen behind seemed to change with the music, and did not distract. There were a ton of people in their 60's at this concert, and you could feel the heartfelt nostalgia throughout the crowd. Resch Center did great with vax check and security.

WORTH THE TRIP OVER BORDER!

Best concert ever by both artists! The worst part was filling out Ap to cross border but totally worth it! Loved the new & old songs Jackson Brown sang, loved James and his group , especially Shower the People with Arnold McCuller. Also James son Henry great with other regular singers ! Loved Andrea on violin!

THE BEST CONCERT IN A LONG LONG WHILE

I have seen Jackson Browne 5 times and was delighted to see that his voice was as raw and perfect as ever - I downloaded his newest album a week before and was glad to be able to sing along…his band was amazing - an absolutely wonderful show and was sad to see them walk off the stage at the end of their set…James Taylor, another favourite had a slower sweeter set list and not as heavy but managed to rouse the house to their feet for 2 numbers…his band was also amazing as well and the collaboration of the two was so so good….initially I sadly thought the audience might be favouring James who conversed a bit in French to their delight and sang an endless list of old favourites but upon talking to some younger concert goers who had come to hear James Taylor, they were surprised to find that they liked Jackson Browne way more than they had expected…and were very glad to have heard his music (I believe for the first time) I think they became Jackson Browne fans during that magical time.

JACKSON BROWNE & JAMES TAYLOR

Loved it! Great mix of old and new. The crowd in Toronto was right into it, it was amazing! Our seats were 6th row from the floors-great view. Many encores. Who could ask for anything more?! I definitely recommend seeing these guys, if you don’t mind hearing some new tunes as well. WELL DONE BOYS!!! 🥰

JAMES TAYLOR WITH JACKSON BROWNE

Absolutely wonderful! It's one of those things that you never knew was on your bucket list until you did it. It brought back all the wonderful familiar memories! Background and stage were so James Taylor. Appealing, interesting, grounded and pleasant.

TAYLOR EXCELLENT JACKSON UNDERWHELMING

Seen Browne three times this was dull and uninspiring he seemed tired and disinterested Taylor was smooth and melodic as usual excellent show

SATISFIED

Outstanding show exceeded expectations. Sure, both artists didn’t play every one of their hits but so it goes. Nutter Center highway access and parking were a nightmare. Shuttle buses helpful, though. With 10,000+ attending, it was a real COVID vaccine test for sure!

4.0 star rating Stuart Ford from Boise, Idaho

PERFORMANCES OF IMPECCABLY QUALITY

You can't fault these old geezers for the musical quality and nuance they both delivered, no doubt forged in their 40-50 year careers. Each put on an excellent show, each had a fantastic support band.. The sound system was also outstanding considering we were in a steel and concrete box arena. I've read some of the other reviews dinging them for their set lists. I am not a person who necessarily went to hear all the hits. I went to be entertained, and as noted, they both delivered. That said, I also thought JT's hot dog cartoon song was lame and the encore with his son seemed a little unrehearsed. Also the crossover songs were a mixed bag for me. JT was disappointing on The Pretender, but JB joining JT for Taking it Easy was excellent. Overall I'd recommend this concert highly to anyone seeking to be entertained, but perhaps not so much if you are expecting to spend a lot of time singing along to the hits from the 70s and 80s.

JACKSON BROWNE AND JAMES TAYLOR AT THE TACOMA DOME

I was skeptical. Of course I knew the canon--I grew up with these songs and play some of them myself--but I was leery of yet another "geezer nostalgia" concert in an acoustically challenged arena. Well, Jackson was good. His voice is still unmistakeable, although a little mellowed. And his band? Tight. Great guitar work and drumming. 5 stars. The headliner, James Taylor? A more mixed review. The start was weak. And throughout the night the mix was off. The bass and drums WAY overmiked to the extent that muddy booming drowned out the band, and even the man himself. And the rendition of "Mexico" was just off. But they got better as the night wore on. I got the sense that JT really appreciated all the folks who held on to their tickets when the show was initially cancelled. And he paid back with better and better music, more and more reciprocal love from the stage. And 3 encores? The cap was his duet of "Close your Eyes" with his 21 year old son, Henry. Nice human touch for a megastar.

JT AND JACKSON BROWNE AT CHASE CENTER

Pure pleasure last night. JB started off the show with a nice mix of old and new tunes and his band was really spot on. His lyrics were a bit difficult to hear at times and the sound balance seemed a bit off, but a minor issue. JT came out and did a tune with him and that was really amazing. JT's band, as always was stellar. Steve Gadd on drums, Larry Goldings on keyboards, Lou Marini on saxes.. and of course Arnold who never disappoints. Also they did an amazing job with the lights and graphics. But tops for me, as always, is JT alone on the stage with his acoustic guitar. Nobody rivals him and the chills were there for us. I've seen JT dozens of times, having grown up in MA and spent lots of time on Martha's Vineyard. There's just something about him that is timeless and simply wonderful! Loved it!

JACKSON AWESOME!

This review is for the concert in Anaheim at the Honda Center. Jackson Browne was awesome as usual! He played a nice mix of old and new, and sounded great! James Taylor was lacking. He played some good songs toward the end, but basically was very boring in my opinion. I had a hard time staying awake during his part of the show.

4.0 star rating from Los Angeles, California

JACKSON BROWN'S CAMERA PERSON BLOCKED STAGE

I went to see Jackson Brown, but I couldn't because I couldn't see the front of the stage with his camera person blocking my view. James Taylor did not have a camera person blocking my view, so I ended up a fan of James Taylor. He put on a great show, and one I could see.

VIEW

The concert was amazing! We sat in the last row of the top section on right side so my only complaint is that the Honda Center only had 1 video screen to see the guys up close and it wasn’t high up either. How could they only have 1 screen with all those people. They’re usually all over the place.

STILL SOUNDING GREAT!!

Good to see classic musicians in there 70's still doing what they love at a high level!! Seen JT many times through the years and although not what he used to be, with a little help from other singers it came across pretty well. Only disappointment as many of us in the food and bathroom lines agree leave out most of the new stuff and the politics (mainly from Jackson Browne)

4.0 star rating Andrea from Toronto, Ontario

LOVED IT!

I had only heard a few songs of Jackson Browne but thought he was a great performer and enjoyed his music. James Taylor played some new music which was nice but he should have focused more on his hit songs. Audience were dull and i too got shushed by someone in front of me for talking. Why come to a concert if you don't want anyone to talk or sing? Overall, I loved the concert and loved JT's interaction with the audience. I would see him again in a heartbeat. He is and always will be one of my favorite singers.

3.0 star rating Serena from Detroit, Michigan

DISAPPOINTING

We came for the hits and he didn't deliver. Only did about a half hour worth of classic tunes versus an hour of lesser known songs. Lines to get into the venue were super long and we missed most of Jackson Browne. Not worth the money

3.0 star rating Stephen from Dayton, Ohio

JACKSON = YES JAMES= NO

Jackson came out and played a solid set, mixing old and new songs since he has an album to promote. His voice was strong and he had a great band. James was not as good as I've seen him before, perhaps because of his set list. He played several songs I didn't know including one from a 1920s cartoon which played in color on a big screen behind him. I didn't pay big money and wait 2 years to see him play cartoon songs and songs I've never heard before. I'd give Jackson 4 stars and James 2. That's just my opinion.

JAMES TAYLOR AND JACKSON BROWN

I enjoyed seeing the two icons but would have liked a bit more narrative and story to connect with the audience. I missed their coonection.

TOO LITTLE TOO LATE!

Jackson Brown was great, but didn't play the load out and stay, super disappointed. James taylor just talks too much. He didn't play the hits until the end. Alot of people were leaving early. This is my second and last James Taylor concert.

DISAPPOINTING

I’ve seen Jackson Browne in the early 80’s as a headliner. He was great then. Last night, not so much. He lacked energy, it seemed like his mic was not correct, and his song choices…ugh. Lame. He played too many new songs, and I didn’t love them. At one point, a man in my section yelled, “Play something we know!” I was psyched for JT. I enjoyed his interaction with audience. I tried to enjoy his new renditions of old songs (I’m talking to you Country Road) but I just didn't. The hot dog song- awful. A woman near me was covering her ears. At the end, he revived the James Taylor I came to hear. Some of his best know works in his amazing style. Breathtaking. But too little, too late. I like the JB/JT encore of Take it Easy. I had the cheap seats, and it was still too much to pay. Very disappointed.

2.0 star rating G Graves from Los Angeles, California

LACKLUSTER TO SAY THE LEAST

Jackson Browne was definitely better than James Taylor but still a lackluster performance. If it hadn’t been for the crazy good back up singers and musicians, it would have been a total bomb. Respect both artists but I think it’s time to retire.

2.0 star rating Karen from San Francisco, California

DISAPPOINTED

Difficult getting into Chase, should have taken as a sign. Never been to a concert where I wanted to leave, but my friend wanted to see JT. The audience was the most dull, lifeless experience I have ever witnessed. If I said one word, someone “sushed” me. Didn’t know we were in a mausoleum/movie theater. The set lists were uninspired and horrible. Super disappointing. Worse concert I have ever been to. Sad really, as in 2017 when JT was outside and paired up with Bonnie Raitte it was awesome. What a waste of money.

JANE’S TAYLOR PLAYED SOME OLD NO NAME SONGS

Disappointing concert JT ditched popular songs for cartoon songs Very disappointing talked about not playing songs due to reviews didn’t play steamroller and played a song with a. Cartoon in the background. Very disappointing for all the money we spent

JAMES TAYLOR JACKSON BROWNE

Was super excited for JT and he just failed. Barely sang any recognizable songs. The few he did sing were ok. People were leaving and appeared quite bored with his new stuff. Jackson Browne was good, missed about 15 minutes of him though due to ridiculous lines and security. I felt like I was crossing the border.

TERRIBLE NIGHT

I’ve been to over 30 James Taylor shows. This is my last one. He needs to retire.

1.0 star rating Former fan from Long Island NY

LACKING AND STAGED

This show was very underwhelming. Too many new songs, which obviously both were trying to promote to boost sales. Came to realize we very last “humorous “ bit of dialogue was completely staged, that is , same lines have been used at every concert. Would have loved some spontaneity from either one, but it was non existent. Never seen an audience just sit there, completely underwhelmed. Very sad , not worth what these guys are charging. So disappointing. Hope they read this and get it together. I know they can do better than this canned version.

1.0 star rating Glenn from Knoxville Tn.

I KNOXVILLE WAS TERRIBLE. VOLUME WAS TOO?LOW TO HEAR. WORSE CONCERT I'VE EVER BEEN TO.

Worse Concert I've ever been to. Could not hear him. Talk or should I say mumbled between every song. Waste of money. Jackson Brown wasn't with him in Knoxville.
