FAVORITE BROADWAY PLAY SO FAR
My husband and I went the night before opening night! It was a wonderful show. Loved the costumes and scenery. The cast was great, especially the Genie. I had wondered how they were going to pull off the magic carpet but they did!! I do agree with the previous review, I think the part when Jafar is turned into a genie is rushed. Also, the ending was not as bombastic as other scenes. But overall it is my favorite of the 5 Broadway plays I have seen so far!

GREAT SHOW...WEAK FINALE.
Loved the movie. Show was fantastic until intermission. "Friend Like Me" scene was most fun I have ever had on Broadway. It got a genuine and enthusiastic standing ovation. After intermission, show fell apart. Rushed and underwhelming. Penultimate scene with Afar becoming an all powerful genie (which was a major element in the movie) was over in the blink of an eye. It was like they just lost interest after intermission. I hope they fix it because the rest of the show w as extraordinary. Sets and special effects were amazing but did not detract. Genie, Aladdin and Iago were outstanding.
