Comedy Icon Billy Crystal Debuts A Brand New Play
For over four decades, Billy Crystal has been making the world laugh with his quick wits and soft-edged humour, appealing to such a broad audience its clear his appeal is universal. From City Slickers to When Harry Met Sally, The Princess Bride and Monsters Inc, the iconic performer has ruled Hollywood's comedy scene and been awarded numerous accolades for his considerable contributions, winning a staggering five Emmy Awards, a Tony and even the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
After the success of his Tony-winning one-man show 700 Sundays in 2013, the veteran actor turns his talents to the stage this fall, presenting the world premiere reading of his new play Have A Nice Day in partnership with Audible at New York's Minetta Lane Theater for two special nights only. Co-written with celebrated TV writer Quentin Peeples, the searing drama features an all-star cast of Crystal's peers, with Golden Globe winning-actress Annette Bening and Academy Award-winner Kevin Kline taking on the lead roles.

Reflecting the turmoil that's taken hold in the Oval Office, Have A Nice Day follows fictional POTUS David Murray, following a chaotic day in his life. He's used to crises, but it seems to be getting the better of him. He's completely lost control of congress, must face his second term elections soon and has lost connection with his estranged wife and daughter. To top it all off, the Grim Reaper has sent a bumbling 'repo man', who's taken up camp at the foot of his bed with the warning that he only has one more day to live...
