I loved this show! It was both funny and sad. Bobby Canavale in particular was terrific. Yes, there was a lot of cursing, if that bothers you. But if it doesn't, I highly recommend it!

The Dark Side of Dope

Worthy of the recent nominations this show is still better than expected. The coarse language is only realistic given the scenario and if you can overcome or understand the slang I think almost anyone could be enlightened by this performance. Drugs are not pretty and Chris Rock gives a great performance as the sets revolve around the inescapable often terrifying seesaw of drug use in an extreme NYC environment. Motherfucker with the Hat is almost a stream of consciousness performance with some moments of true genius. The theatre is a lovely venue too.

Great Play

I thought all the actors did a great job. My mother went to this play with me, and she is 70 years old, and she enjoyed it as well.

If you like to laugh and have a good time, this is the play to see! It was Hilarious! I was LMFAO! My mouth was hung open for most of the play. It was funny as well as unpredictable. Not only was Chris Rock funny but the entire case was funny. The play is based on real life scenarios which I'm sure most people can relate to. I would love to see it again. I hope you Enjoy it. I know I did. :-).

IF YOU CAN IDENTIFY

I loved this show. If you are in recovery, it will be just that much more meaningful to you. I know characters like all of those portrayed. It's real life stuff for a society within a society like the anonymous programs, but we must all be accountable to our Higher Power for what we do. Bobby's character hit it on the head near the end, that everyone isn't like Ralph D. (Chris Rock). Too much cursing for me but I loved it just the same. Lots of Amens and Hallelujahs from me as it went on. Recovering people will identify and love this play.
