Dickey Betts Celebrates His Rich Rock Legacy
The Allman Brothers have a lot to thank Dickey Betts for. Widely considered one of the greatest rock players of all time, his signature rich tone and masterful fretwork became a defining hallmark of the southern rock outfit's signature sound, providing the perfect on-stage and in-studio foil to Duane Allman's slides and solos. After TAB, the living legend embarked on a successful solo career that spawned classics like Highway Call and Grammy Award-winning instrumental track Jessica, as well as a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.
After announcing his retirement in 2017, Betts celebrates his rich musical legacy, with special one-night-only show at NYC's historic Beacon Theatre, welcoming his very own son Duane Betts, Greg Allman's son Devon Allman and fellow southern jam band pioneers the Marshall Tucker Band onto the stage for an evening of historic rock and roll classics.
