I'D HAPPILY SEE AGAIN

Before intermission, the first half was just over a half hour, and it was predominantly guest singers, not even Andrea Bocelli. They were good, but I paid for him. After intermission it lasted a little longer, especially with three encores. The female soprano accompanying him on Time to Say Goodbye was stellar. The power of those vocals in that format, the closed hockey/basketball arena, were so astonishing I marveled that I was hearing a human capability so rare and beautiful at that moment. Only one Christmas song, Adeste Fidelis. The Boston traffic for departing cars was a snarl with tempers flaring. I walked to a nearby bakery until it thinned, then caught an uber.

AN EVENING FILLED WITH BEAUTIFUL MUSIC

Andrea Bocelli at MSG on 12/15/2021 was a gift to all of us. A very rich and very rare musical experience. He sang solo and also shared the stage with top talent, sometimes leaving the stage while others preformed. An orchestra, a choir, his son and daughter, a soprano and alto opera singers, John Batistte as a surprise guest, and much more. Transformative experience for 2&1/2 hours. Simply sensational.

I am quite concerned by these poor reviews. Mr. Bocelli's concert received 3 standing ovations for the job well done by this simple, gracious, family man, gifted of God, as well as the other talents on stage with him that night. Mr. Bocelli need no fanfare, no hype to ice the cake, no Vegas to stroke your brow. I wept to be able to share in the beauty of those hours. I only hope I do so again.

the show itself was wonderful and both his son and daughter performed as well which was an added benefit! Mateo is becoming quite the singer and is very easy on the eyes! I do believe the sound could have been better in the arena, but it didn't detract from the enjoyment I got from being there. I can now mark this off of my "bucket list" but would enjoy seeing him again.

So...there are no words to describe this. Brilliant...mind blowing concert by Bocelli. His son and daughter sang with him some. When he sang Time to Say Goodbye..it brought tears to my eyes. I cannot say enough good. Go if you ever have the chance. Go.
