Incredible
We saw the play in previews on Jan 16th. The play is exquisitely written, comical at times but always within the dark context, poignant, painful and piercing, extremely powerful and is a work thaty requires great and dedicated actors completely compromised to its essence and core. The younger actors are extremely gifted and play their parts with a lot of passion and energy, and Mr. Braugher shows once again in a period piece that he is one the most talented actors in America, period. He commands attention without asking for it, he glides through his part with no hiccups and with the full conviction which he has displayed from the beginning in "Glory" or like the character Frank Pembleton in "Homicide" which made him a household name. The crowd left stunned and impressed. The play is a tour-de-force and the acting in this version is no short of show-stopping in its own right. I highly recommend it!
