A Funny, Sweet, and Touching Balm for the Soul
Popcorn Falls is an hysterically funny, sweet and surprisingly touching play that transports you to another world for 80 minutes. You will love spending time with the myriad folks of this little town that could, each one beautifully written by Jim HIndman, and brilliantly embodied by Adam Heller and Tom Souhrada. It's a tour de force for these two AMAZING actors, (Especially Souhrada who must play at least 25 different characters, each specific and complete! ) as they tell a story that is so real, so entertaining and so perfectly silly that it acts as a balm for the soul in these troubled times. Christian Borle's direction is crisp, snappy, and keeps the pace brisk while still allowing these quirky characters to land. You will laugh, you might choke up a little, and in the end, you will believe in the healing power of theater. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Popcorn Falls is hysterical
Popcorn Falls is a funny, clever, imaginative, and touching play given a superb production at the Davenport theater. James Hindman's play is marvelously inventive, Christian Borle's direction is sharp as a tack, and the actors Adam Heller and Tom Souhrada are absolutely terrific. A great Off B'way experience -- I loved it! The theater is small and intimate, and it's a comedy for everyone -- PG 13! Enjoy!
