I have been seeing the Nutcracker for years, and once was in ballet myself growing up. I also played the flute for many years during my youth, so you can imagine I have an appreciation for the arts. We paid almost $400 for these tickets to this Nutcracker in NYC on Dec 22, 2018. I thoroughly enjoyed the music, the flute was excellent..however I did not expect the majority of the show to be children dancers. I was displeased that the contortionist seemed to have only one move at the end of her set, and the sugar plum fairies were not in sync. My mother and I were very disappointed with the limited challenging dance moves offered in this ballet. We were very disappointed there were not more adult dancers to perform more intricate moves. Although the adult dancers were solid performers, minus the catch in the last Act with the couple. We were expecting an extraordinary ballet and what we saw we could have seen at our local theatre in Frederick MD. Our view was great. Wont be back.
