Pretty similar to below review - I was wandering around Times Square and the names jumped out at me from the Theatre billboard. Couldn't believe my luck. Was fantastic seeing such legends on the stage. The set was excellent and the acting superb. I would highly recommend going to see this. I had an upper tier seat which was more than adequate but if you can stretch your finances to a floor seat, I imagine it would be well worth it.

was in new york for 1st time early may, walking around broadway one evening and couldnt believe our luck when we saw morgan freeman and frances mc dormand billed for jacobs theatre! two of my favourite actors, how fantastic very enjoyable story with great performances, it was the highlight of my trip, looking forward to next time, dont know if another show could top that though. morgan and francis you were fab x

I had not read any reviews on this play but the actors names jumped out at me as a "must see" show. I pretty much enjoyed everything about this play; the story drew me in and kept me engaged throughout, and the acting was superb. If you want to see some of the best actors in the world directed by one of the best directors in the world, go see The Country Girl. Highly recommended!

Agree. Average except for Morgan Freeman. Also agree on rude staff. Need to send the salt/pepper hair female usher to the fish market.

Enjoyed Morgan Freeman.......nothing else. Poor play exploiting the name of Morgan Freeman. Most rude staff I have ever encountered. Several female staff members seemed to revel in the enjoyment of their obnoxious behavior. Go to another theater. We found courteous personnel and enjoyable musicals in several other theaters.
