What did the critics think of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein

The world premiere of Mary Shelley's new play, Frankenstein, with music by Eve Wolf officially opened Off-Broadway December 27. Frankenstein will run for a limited engagement through January 7. The play received mixed reviews from the critics.

Broadway World said, 'The musical elements are top shelf!' and New York Daily News also praised the music saying, 'The music is uniformly lovely'. CurtainUp did say 'Fairchild dances up a storm', but then went on to say it 'isn't likely to be a must-see for the average tourist'. Talkin' Broadway also praised Fairchild and the music saying, it's 'a masterful piece of work... as long as the focus is on Fairchild and the music'.
