Jodie Comer wins over every critic in her Broadway debut

After a stellar run in London's West End and an Olivier Award for Best Actress, Jodie Comer repeats her success on Broadway in this searing play by Suzie Miller

The Killing Eve actress more than proved her talents in Prima Facie's Broadway bow, which opened yesterday, April 23 at the John Golden Theatre, with a landslide of glowing reviews published today.

From Deadline labeling her performance a 'Tour de Force' to early Tony talk, it's safe to say that Jodie Comer has cemented her place as one of the finest performers of her generation, able to captivate on stage just as much as on screen.

Deadline continues: "Killing Eve star Jodie Comer claims Broadway as her own in her tour de force performance of Prima Facie, a scalding indictment of the law and its limits opening tonight at the Golden Theatre."

The New York Times agreed and spoke of the play's timely themes:

" Jodie Comer, late of "Killing Eve," gives a performance of tremendous skill and improbable stamina, especially considering it is her first stage appearance. The production, directed by Justin Martin, is chic and accessible, with design flourishes, by now de rigueur, to underline the idea that it is a Big Event. And the reform of sexual assault jurisprudence that the play advocates could hardly be more convincingly argued or worthy of our attention."

In summary, Broadway News agreed:

""Prima Facie" is the kind of theater every artist should have an opportunity to make and every audience an opportunity to experience."
