The Tony award-nominated play, Home by Samm-Art Williams is heading to the Off-Broadway stage this spring. The uplifting comedy, journeying from a fall to redemption, will be directed by on and Off-Broadway regular and Tony award-winner Kenny Leon. Home was originally staged by the Negro Ensemble Company in 1979, and was met with such acclaim that it moved to Broadway the following year. What's it about?
A young man by the name of Cephus Miles has the life he's always dreamed of, or he did until his beloved Pattie Mae leaves him for college and another man. Miles' life tumbles down around him going from bad, to better, to worse. But will his cheery demeanor help him turn it all around?
