Coming to the Hayes Theatre on Broadway is Paula Vogel's Mother Play from Second Stage Theatre. The Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright will be kicking off spring with the world premiere of her work with an exciting cast, consisting of Tony, Oscar and Emmy winner Jessica Lange, Tony winner Celia Keenan-Bolger, and Emmy winner Jim Parsons. Tina Landau, the Tony Award-winning director of SpongeBob SquarePants, The Broadway Musical directs. The show has a limited run, so catch it while you can!
What's it about?
Set in Washington D.C. in 1962, Mother Play follows the story of Phillis, the matriarch of a small family. She has the lives of her two children planned out, but will they accept these plans or strive to make their own way in the world?
