Psychedelic and hard rock founding fathers join forces
In the late 1960s, a group of visionary artists were molding a new mixture of hard rock and psychedelia, laying the groundwork for the likes of Led Zeppelin, and three of them unite at the NYCB Theatre in February.
Blue Oyster Cult are best known for their iconic track Don't Fear the Reaper, beloved by rock music and cowbell fans the world over. Led by founding members Eric Bloom and Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser, the group have now been together for over fifty years, and are still jamming out and improvising with the best of them.
Also on the event's line-up are fellow Sixities survivors Vanilla Fudge, who are famous for putting their own psychadelic spin on contemporary hits, such as The Supremes You Keep Me Hangin' On, which they took into the Billboard top ten in 1967. Rounding out the bill are Blues Magoos.
