The unintentionally hilarious film parodied lovingly live!
In 1991, Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves came together to create a movie so ridiculous that it transcended good taste to become an instant cult hit. Now you can relive the thrill ride that is Point Break at NYC 's Highline Ballroom for one special night this Winter as the film is lovingly parodied live with audience participation, bad wigs aplenty and a sprinkling of comedy improv.
In a twist that will leave many in tears (the good kind), an audience member is chosen to take on the lead role of Johnny Utah, Reeves' torn Special FBI Agent who infiltrates the fast-paced world of the LA Surf Scene to take down a ring of bank robbing surfers... When Utah meets charismatic leader Bodhi, he must choose between an adrenalin-filled cowabunga lifestyle or his job. And yes, that actually is the plot!
