Poor acoustics in the theater made it difficult to hear at times. Cast
was very good overall, and Washington was terrific—however, it was
clear that many in the audience were only interested in seeing him, as
they talked loudly (and used their phones) when he was offstage and
even left once his part was over.

LONG
The theater was terrible, it's a old theater and lots of steps, the seats are small and tight and they did not try to accommodated you if you were taller than 5 feet or if you had a little weight to you. I am 5 feet and I had No leg room, my leg cramped because I could not stretch. Left the show 2 hours in was unable to endure any more. The actors were all over the place many times unable to understand them. I was almost like they were acting for themselves because I could not hear them and they seem to not be able to project.
If you are tall or have a little size to you don't bother you will be uncomfortable , seats are too close together and no leg room at all. Lots of steps to bathroom. Staff not helpful or friendly.

A MADE FOR TV PRODUCTION
I saw Jason Robards do this play many years ago and it was terrific. This production seems to be directed as a TV movie of the week with bright colorful costumes and cute hookers...not at all what O'Neill imagined. Denzel does a great job depite all of this.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!
The theater is very uncomfortable. Not good since
this play is almost 4 hours long! The actors are hard
to understand. Bad acoustics? Period language is
difficult to comprehend. Many actors spoke very
quickly. I thought it was boring and it did not hold my
attention. I noticed many people sleeping in the
audience. Many more left during the first
intermission. Mr. Washington looked terrible and
could not salvage this production for me. I was very
disappointed, overall. Sorry I spent big bucks on a
play that did not deliver, even given its 3 hour 50
minute running time to do so! WAY too long!! I would
not recommend this play. However, if you buy tickets,
avoid side seats in the orchestra. My view of the stage
was poor given my angle. Also, two large people sat in
front of me. They obstructed my view, considerably. I
was very upset given the price I paid. I was in row D,
seat 6 in the side orchestra. Seats are very narrow.
Too bad such a great cast is wasted in this
production!

GREAT CAST WASTED ON A POOR PRODUCTION.
In a nutshell too long, repetitive dialog, lack luster set and well, just boring. What a
waste of a great cast. Using Denzel to attract an audience and than force feeding
them a poor ass production is what you get here. All the silk hats in the world wont
dress up this pig. Stay home don't waste your time. Oh, and probably the worst
customer experience i have ever had at a Broadway show. Theater personnel just
plain rude and the theater is jut ill equipped to handle the four hours of boredom
that was created by the production. Are refunds available!! LOL!!

WORST PLAY EVER!
The cast rushed their lines making the dialogue
incomprehensible. There was no life to the
performance . Denzil was fine but could not
save an otherwise just plain awful show. Strong
words yes, but I am telling you DONT WASTE
YOUR MONEY. I left after the first intermission.

ICEMAN COMETH
My friend and I went 3/23. Most of the dialog was not too clear the only one who spoke clearly was Denzel, he was great. The discussions were all over the place, again most of it gobbled, It was tooo long and three int6ermissions, ridiculous.
Denzel is superb... – brilliant, captivating, and undeniably committed to this energy-sapping role!
Woes and whiskey have always been good friends, proven by the misfits in Eugene O'Neill's play The Iceman Cometh. As these men wallow at the bottom of the barrel in Harry Hope's bar they reminisce about the days gone by and dream hopefully of a better t
