Robert Downey Jr Makes Broadway Debut!
In McNeal', Academy Award-winning actor Robert Downey Jr takes center stage, portraying a Nobel Prize-nominated novelist in deep personal turmoil. The narrative delves into his contentious relationship with his son, the challenges of penning a new book, and an unhealthy fascination' with Artificial Intelligence.
McNeal is written by Ayad Akhtar, who boasts an impressive repertoire including the 2016 Tony-nominated Junk', the 2012 Pulitzer-winning Disgraced', and is currently working on the Broadway adaption of the hit movie La La Land. The play is also under the direction of Tony-winning Bartlett Sher, celebrated for his renditions of South Pacific' in 2008 and To Kill a Mockingbird' in 2018.
The show is set for a special run at the Lincoln Center Theater, running from September to November.
