MICHELLE LITE

Cummings was wonderful, dancing and costumes great as was Linda Emond, but Mendes needs to cut 10 minutes from first act. Michelle's english accent doesn't work and her diction needs to be clearer and louder. She needs to be directed with a sharper edge and clearer vision of Sally. Her black sexy costume for 1st act needs to be sexy which it is not. More like ladylike lingerie. She needs to etching in sharper tones and her voice amped up. She flubbed her first song, but did a great job of singing Cabaret. Second act has Michelle's head turned away from audience as she has confrontation with her lover. Could not see her face or her hear her. Mendes...never let the actor speak to the back wall in a confrontational s scene. Mendes needs to shorten it up, gear it up.....Cummings also doesn't neeed to ask au dience members to dance with him at start of act 2. Embarrassing and corny....always makes audience uncomfortable...and it's Borscht Belt. Musicians great.

WHAT WAS MICHELLE WILLIAMS DOING?

Alan Cummin was sublime as expected, and the only reason I didn't walk out. Michelle William's performance was confusing and an awkward portrayal of Sally Bowles, made what was otherwise an entertaining show that I really want to rate as excellent but can't because of her performance. It appeared she was confused over her characterisation and just looked uncomfortable and made the audience feel the same. I just don't understand what the vision is of Sally Bowles in this performance. The accent was weird, singing off-key and there was a powerful sense of relief when she was off-stage.

SHE AIN'T LIZA

Michelle Williams was absolutely awful. She could not sing, dance or speak clearly. Alan Cummings was wonderful as always. The orchestra was also excellent and the older couple charming. Kit Kat girls' costmes colorless. Studio 54 looked fantastic. I would not recommend this show to anyone. My friends and I left at intermissiion.
