An incredible night of stand-up
The David Lynch Foundation presents an incredible night of stand up comedy at the New York City Center. The bill is topped by Louis CK, arguably the greatest comic performing today. His on stage persona is maybe best described as 'middle-aged slacker', with routines full of grouchy observations on modern life that just keep getting sharper the more you think about them. It's a brand of humour which has risen CK through the ranks, from his early days writing for Conan to selling out the biggest venues in the world.
He's joined by Russell Brand, the wild-haired British comedian with a penchant for effusive vocabulary and biting takedowns of celebrity culture. Rounding out the bill are Jim Gaffigan, star of his own eponymous show on TV Land, and SNL's Vanessa Bayer.
