The 2017 New York Flamenco Festival

March 9-12, 2017

New York City Center again welcomes back the international dance phenomenon to the Big Apple this March. Gala Flamenco, taking place Thursday through Saturday is directed by Manuel Linan and features some of the most exciting figures on the flamenco scene including Gypsy dancer Juana Amaya. She is joined by Olga Pericet, Jesus Carmona and Patricia Guerrero. The Sunday program features Pisadas, Fin y Principio de Mujer by Olga Pericet.

The New Yorkers

March 22-26, 2017

The Encores! Orchestra embark on their most ambitious reconstruction project yet, as they bring Cole Porter's partially lost musical The New Yorkers back to the stage this March. A social satire set in the Prohibition-era Thirties, it's a celebration of all things forbidden and enjoyed; from the underground speakeasies, gin runners, socialites mixing with hardened criminals. We follow the harebrained adventure of one such young lady as she is whisked away by a bootlegger! Featuring Porter's iconic, and at the same, controversial lament, Love For Sale.

Dance Theatre of Harlem

April 19-22, 2017

One of America's most revered dance companies display their immense talents again in a beautifully created and performed show. With their slogan "Power. On Pointe." one can be assured that the Dance Theatre of Harlem isn't just another ballet company - they're committed to pushing the boundaries of the art form, challenging traditional definitions in ballet, and empowering the community through their medium.

The Golden Apple

May 10-14, 2017

Encore! once again heads back into Broadway's archives for another long-lost musical; this time, the ambitious modern musical re-imagining of the Iliad and The Odyssey that first premiered in 1954. The Golden Apple introduces us to bored housewife Helen Of Troy, and the heroic, now dashing Ulysses, conquistador of the Spanish-American War. Revamped in a popular opera that would have Homer choking on his hummus, this musical is famous for introducing us to the legendary number Lazy Afternoon.

Eifman Ballet

June 2-11, 2017

Boris Eifman brings his singular talents back to the New York City Center with two full-length ballets. With Red Giselle and Tchaikovsky: The Mystery of Life and Death the Saint Petersburg company promises a powerful performance from one of the world's greatest choreographers.
