Lets get lost in the Roaring Twenties!
Motivated by hunger, two enterprising and homeless siblings Dick & Susie decide to crash the garden party of the well-to-do society hostess Jo Vanderwater. Though his heart is somewhere else, Dick tries to win Jo's welcoming affections, as Susie is courted by the mysterious 'hobo' Jack. Sparks fly and social climbing is in full force in this mad cap caper, with all the classical devices of a ridiculously entertaining evening at the theatre!
The Encores! concert series will present a wonderfully restored version of this beloved Gershwin show, that launched the great Broadway age when it first appeared on the Great White Way in 1924.
