..the night's revelation is lanky Chalamet as Jim, nailing the Shanley accent and swagger. He gives one of the most impressive stage debuts I've seen in years.

World Premiere starring Robert Sean Leonard

Manhattan Theatre Club presents the latest work from Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning playwright John Patrick Stanley. The company previously staged the New York premieres of Stanley's Doubt: A Parable and Outside Mullingar, the former of which won four Tony Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and was adapted into an Oscar-nominated movie starring Meryl Streep and Philip Seyour Hoffman

Prodigal Son follows the fortunes of a talented but troubled teenager from the Bronx who begins at a private school on Manhattan. Two faculty members must try their hardest to help realize his tremendous potential while stopping him from hitting the self-destruct button. An intense and complex piece, Prodigal Son stars Tony winner Robert Sean Leonard (The Invention of Love) and Chris McGarry (Lawless).
