Four people gather in the basement of a New Jersey pizza joint to hash out a divorce
A dark new comedy from Sean J. Quinn, Money Grubbin' Whores will play a strictly limited run this September and October at The Lion Theatre at Theatre Row. The play takes place in the basement of a New Jersey pizza joint, the location that warring couple Matt and his Israeli wife Aviva have chosen to broker the terms of their divorce. Mediating the discussion are Matt's friend Frankie and Aviva's cousin Moshe. As tensions mount, and old grievances are unearthed, the proceedings in the pizza joint begin to get very messy indeed.
Directed by Brian Cichocki, the cast for this Off-Broadway production comprises Adam Mucci (Men in Black III, Revolutionary Road), James Andrew O'Connor (The Americans, Man on a Ledge), Carmit Levite (Zombie Strippers) and Penny Bittone (The Qualification of Douglas Evans).
