"For most of the Seventies, Elton John and lyricist Bernie Taupin were a virtual hit factory, churning out 25 Top Forty singles, 16 Top Ten, and six Number One hits."
Rolling Stone magazine
Legendary doesn't quite do the man justice does it? During his mammoth career, Elton John has sold an estimated 300 million records worldwide. He has won everything it's possible to win: An Oscar, a Golden Globe, a Tony, six Grammys. He's co-written the soundtrack for one of the world's most beloved animated movies (The Lion King) and the score for a West End and Broadway phenomenon (Billy Elliott). The Million Dollar Piano, his spectacularly designed Las Vegas residency, is still packing out Caesars Palace three years after it began. The list of his classic tracks goes on and on: Rocketman, Daniel, Crocodile Rock, Candle in the Wind, Your Song, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues...
Elton is heading out across North America and Canada in 2015 on tour, playing the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.showing for one date only on 31 Dec 2014!. He'll be picking choice cuts from his incredible catalogue, with special attention paid to tracks from Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, maybe his definitive record, which recently celebrated its 40th Anniversary.
He can count himself a godfather of modern pop music, but Elton is also a real life godfather - to some very famous kids. He's godparent to John Lennon's son Sean and David Beckham's children, Romeo and Brooklyn.
