Why See Damien Rice?

ConcertsIndie & Rock

See the thrilling Damien Rice live

Elusive, earnest and mesmerising, Damien Rice has the power to make you feel chills down your spine with his beautifully haunting songs, fluidly moving from gently acoustic to lush fury, swelling and crashing, eliciting emotion from even the most hardened music fans.

Breaking through with the enigmatic record 'O' in 2002, the Irish singer-songwriter captured our imaginations with his rousing hits including 'Cannonball' and 'The Blower's daughter', before continuing his unique brand of viciously heartbreaking folk with '9' in 2006. Since then, he's collaborated with artists such as Tori Amos and David Gray, taking the long way round to his last album, My Favourite Faded Fantasy, which was released in November 2014.

Cranston's wrenching performance stands on its own. In context, it's a terrifying reminder of how an all-too-human, anger-filled public figure, with access to a worldwide stage, can be mistaken for a god.
