CRACKLING GOOD SHOW
Sizzling political entertainment in a small, intimate theater with laugh-out-loud moments with an excellent script by playwright Sarah Burgess. The acting was solid, especially the first-rate Eisa Davis as Congresswoman Sydney Millsap and Zach Grenier as the powerful Senator. Producing a funny, smart and provocative play about a technical, but important, issue (the carried interest tax loophole) was brilliant. Also enjoyable was the nuance of the play. Instead of the usual liberal good guy vs. conservative/ greedy baddy, no-one was perfect. And the play looked at the real world of politics as well as the ideals of reform. Among my favorite moments was the hot skillet of fajitas at Chili's. See the show before the final serving in late March.
