THE R40 TOUR CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF HITS
Over the course of their decades-spanning career, Canadian power trio Rush emerged as one of hard rock's most highly regarded bands; although typically brushed aside by critics and rarely the recipients of mainstream pop radio airplay, Rush nonetheless won an impressive and devoted fan following, while their virtuoso performance skills cemented their standing as musicians' musicians.
THE BAND'S ACHIEVEMENTS TO DATE
Rush have amassed 24 gold records and 14 platinum (three multi-platinum) records since their inception back in 1968. According to the RIAA, Rush's sales statistics place them third behind The Beatles and The Rolling Stones for the most consecutive gold or platinum albums by a rock band.
Despite seven Grammy nominations, the band have yet to win the award; however the band members' successes have seen them individually gain recognition for their instrumental skills. 2015 sees them celebrate 40 years of hits, and they'll be bringing the shingdig to 34 cities across North America in their R40 tour. The legend that is Rush is ready to celebrate with the most loyal fans in the world by embarking on their 21st tour, likely be their last major tour of this size and scale. Celebrate four decades of music with three incredible musicians; all in one incredible night.
